Tom Connors specializes in helping organizations evaluate and enhance Corporate Governance, Risk Management, Internal Control and Regulatory Compliance processes.
Tom recently retired from Deloitte & Touche LLP where he was a Senior Partner in Technology, Media & Telecom (“TMT”) Industry practice serving many of Deloitte’s largest, most preeminent, global clients.
Some of his recent projects included:
Enhancing cyber security practices including implementing NIST-based cyber security frameworks and supporting technologies
Implementing third party risk management programs related to third party sales channel, call center and cloud technology providers
Conducting pre-acquisition due diligence assessments of technology and cyber security practices of potential targets
Led projects to address existing and new Privacy Regulations including the EU Global Data Regulation (“GDPR”)
Tom is also an entertaining and effective author and speaker including recently contributing to “Protecting our Future: Educating a CyberSecurity Workforce”, moderating and presenting on Deloitte’s highly popular DBrief webinar series and serving as emcee for several National Partner meetings and events.
Since retiring from Deloitte, Tom has been worked with the Cyber Workforce Alliance, SUNY and CUNY in leading the development and delivery of transformative, new cyber security curriculums that leverage cloud technology to bring real-life case studies and cyber security professionals from the front-lines into the classroom. As part of this initiative, Tom recently led the development and roll-out of a curriculum for a new Cyber Crime course at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Tom enjoys deeps sea fishing, Jiu-Jitsu and serving as a volunteer firefighter in the town of Saddle River, NJ where he reside with his wife and two kids.
